AmTrust Bermuda donates $15,000 to four charities
AmTrust Bermuda has donated a total of $15,000 to four charities on the island.
The organisation said end-of-year donations have been made to the Ewan Sampson Scholarship Trust, The Family Centre, Pals Cancer Care in Bermuda and the Bermuda Zoological Society.
AmTrust Bermuda is the local office of AmTrust Financial, a top US commercial insurer and a leading global provider of warranty products and specialty risk insurance coverages.
Mr. Griffith said: “We have chosen four charities for our end of year donations for 2021.
“They include the Ewan Sampson Scholarship Trust. Ewan Sampson died very young in a tragic bike accident. His death deprived Bermuda of a talented, hard-working and charming person. He was a tribute to his parents and they deserve that he be remembered.
“The Family Centre is also selected. Everyone knows who they are and what they do to help our youth and their families. They warrant our support.
“P. A. L. S. is also being recognised. Looking after the seriously and terminally ill is a challenging calling. Frankly, we don’t know what the community would do without them.
“And there is also the Bermuda Zoological Society. The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo provides one of the most interesting, safe and educational places for families, schoolchildren and, indeed, anyone to visit. We are very happy to support them.”
