The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce is to offer the lunchtime webinar LinkedIn 101 for Business.

Open to both members and non-members of the chamber, the webinar will be presented on February 2 on Zoom from noon until 1.30pm.

The chamber said that LinkedIn is the No 1 business-to-business and networking platform, adding that with more than 700 million users it is the place to make connections with clients, prospects and strategic alliance partners.

The organisation said the session is designed for individuals seeking to better leverage LinkedIn to produce positive outcomes and is well suited to professionals across an array of business sectors.

The webinar will be presented by Bill McCormick, chief sales officer of Social Sales Link.

Mr McCormick will cover how to leverage LinkedIn to build relationships and have conversations, how to convert your profile from a resume to a resource, how to authentically connect and build a quality network, and how to leverage LinkedIn for referrals.

He said: “There are over 40,000 people on LinkedIn that list Bermuda as their location. That's an amazing number of people that are available for businesses to connect with, network with and serve.

”As we continue to navigate the pandemic, networking is no longer an option and LinkedIn is the ultimate virtual networking room where you can connect with people locally and globally.”

Kendaree Burgess, chief executive officer of the Chamber, said: “As we enter into our third year of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses and individuals should be thinking about how to better leverage LinkedIn to achieve business and personal goals alike.

“If you find social media daunting this is a great place to start. Invest in your business and/or personal brand in 2022.”

Registration fees are $25 for Chamber members and $45 for non-members.
