Digicel partners with Hubbcat to offer two-way communications

Digicel Business Bermuda has announced a partnership with Hubbcat, an industry leader in business-critical, secure communication solutions.

Co-founded by a former Bermuda resident, Hubbcat was integral to communications initiatives during the recent PGA Tour FedexCup event at the Port Royal Golf Course.

The partnership enables Digicel to offer Hubbcat’s mobile two-way communication solutions, body cameras and robust devices, ideal for improving connectivity, security and efficiency for leading Bermudian businesses.

Digicel said it was continuing a commitment to offer better solutions, now providing even more ways for businesses to connect reliably and privately with employees, suppliers and distributors powered by its mobile network.

Hubbcat provides private communication networks in 20 countries to more than 130,000 users via a centralised control system.

Customers can connect to their network through a Hubbcat-ruggedised device or on their current device by downloading the free Hubbcat app.

This gives them instant connection across their entire business and real-time data capture, making it ideal for governments and large corporations, as well as the hospitality, security, law enforcement, transportation sectors and more.

“We are very excited to be able to offer our business customers in Bermuda another best-in-class communications solution to propel their business forward in the new financial year,” Digicel chief executive officer Stephen Murad said.

“Many industries in Bermuda face unique challenges around connection, security and disaster recovery and have asked us for fast, reliable, cost-effective solutions. Now Digicel Business clients will have even more options to significantly improve operational efficiency and security.”

Hubbcat CEO Alan Bates said they were delighted by the new partnership.

“Bermuda holds a special place in my heart, having spent several years living there with my family,” he said. “Our range of push-to-talk services and bodycam technology is leading in business-critical communications solutions and we hope to leverage Digicel’s connectivity expertise to extend these services to the wider corporate community.

“Most recently, we had a hugely successful launch here providing the communications infrastructure for the Bermuda Butterfield Golf Championship, and we are confident there are many applications for our technology across all business sectors.”
