Chamber webinar for managing ‘hybrid’ teams
Practical guidance about how to negotiate the hybrid working model is to be the topic of a webinar presented by the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce.
“Leading Hybrid Teams” will be held online via Zoom on April 27 from noon until 1.30pm. It is open to both chamber members and non-members.
The session, held in partnership with FranklinCovey Bermuda, is designed to equip leaders and team members with the skills to get work done in a hybrid world.
The chamber said that it was ideal for teams where some members are in-person or co-located while other members are remote, and is applicable to professionals within the business, government, and non-profit settings.
The session will be presented by FranklinCovey Bermuda leadership consultant Richard James and will focus on three key areas which will help leaders to:
• Create a greater sense of belonging and engagement.
• Strengthen communications so team members and team leaders are clear, aligned, and able to pivot in any situation.
• Balance flexibility with accountability so people have freedom to get things done in ways that work for them.
Martha Kirkland, of FranklinCovey Bermuda, said: “This work session provides practical and relevant guidance on how to lead and manage in this hybrid environment and building a culture that gets results.”
Kendaree Burgess, chief executive officer at the chamber, said: “In a post-Covid world, many businesses are operating with employees both working from home and in-person.
“It is vital for leaders to equip themselves with the tools, knowledge and best practices to nurture the hybrid team environment while still ensuring business goals are achieved.
“This educational opportunity is relevant to any business/team leaders running a hybrid work team.”
Registration fees are $40 for chamber members and $60 for non-members. As it is an educational session, materials will be included in registration costs.
To register, visit the chamber website at www.bermudachamber.bm or call 295-4201.
