UK schools education fair this week
Beach Education, the new consultancy that helps Bermudian-based families to identify schooling opportunities in the United Kingdom, is to hold a UK Schools Education Fair on Thursday and Friday at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.
Twelve UK boarding schools will be represented at the event, including Olympic gold medallist Flora Duffy’s school, Mount Kelly, and Bede School, whose alumni includes footballer Leilanni Nesbeth and cricketer Delray Rawlins.
Beach Education says it is on track to have placed students from more than 15 families for enrolment by September.
The company was founded by Neil Speight, former CEO of the Bermuda Cricket Board and current director of the International Cricket Council, and Fiona Beach, a UK-based school admissions expert in independent UK boarding schools.
Beach Education says it provides impartial and expert advice to families interested in a UK boarding school education. They also offer support with the university application process known as UCAS to enter UK universities.
Mr Speight, president of Beach Education, said: “The UK has an affordable tertiary education system that offers great value when compared to its US counterparts and UK schooling can make this transition to university education much easier.”
The event at the BUEI will run from 330pm until 8pm on Thursday, and from 330pm until 645pm on Friday.
