Sustainable farming workshop offered

The AgraLiving Institute is to hold a sustainable farming workshop on May 14.

The class, which will run from 9.30am until 3pm, is designed to give attendees the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to have the confidence to grow more of their own food at home.

They will learn about sustainable gardening practices, double digging, building and maintaining a compost pile, growing healthy seedlings, and transplanting seedlings into the garden.

A delicious homemade plant-based lunch is included, AgraLiving said.

The cost of the workshop is $205, and will be held in AgraLiving’s education and research garden in the Botanical Gardens, Paget.
