MOC in finals of employer awards
The Mid Ocean Club has again achieved gold level accreditation standard and has been nominated for three awards by Investors in People.
IIP is a global organisation that advises and conducts assessments of employers using its unique framework, focusing on areas of employee engagement, communication, organisational culture and work practices.
Over the last 30 years, IIP has accredited more than 50,000 organisations across 66 countries, recognising and rating organisations across multiple areas of people management.
MOC is a finalist in The Investor in People Awards 2022 in the categories: Overseas Employer of the Year: Gold; HR Person of the Year: Vanessa Robinson, human resources manager; and Young Person of the Year: Dimitri Frias, assistant general manager in-training.
The organisation is one of only 17 that have been nominated for three or more awards.
Austen Gravestock, MOC general manager, said: “For Mid Ocean Club to be shortlisted three times in this year’s awards is an amazing feat, something that our entire team can take great pride in.”
Paul Devoy, CEO of IIP, said this year was record-setting with more than 300 organisations competing.
He added: “Reaching the final shortlist is a testament to the amazing commitment these organisations are making to make work better for their people, and they truly deserve this recognition.”
In May, Mid Ocean was reaccredited by IIP to “gold”, a level achieved by only 15 per cent of accredited organisations globally, and positions it to be considered for “platinum” at the next review period, a standard held by only one per cent of organisations globally.
Each year, a select few organisations and individuals are shortlisted, from hundreds of organisations globally that are evaluated by IIP.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony on November 15 at Old Billingsgate in London.
