Cost of internet is about to rise
Your internet bill is going up.
Monthly charges for its FibreWire internet plans will increase on February 1, One Communications has announced.
The telecommunications company said the monthly price increases of $10 will be accompanied by an increase in internet speed.
Subscribers to FibreWire 100 Mbps service will get a boost in speed to 150 Mbps, with 150 Mbps and 200 Mbps subscribers receiving bumped-up speeds of 200 Mbps and 300 Mbps, respectively.
Writing to its customers, the company said: “Over the last few years, One Communications has continued to invest in our FibreWire internet network.
“With the ever-increasing number of connected devices and growth in internet usage in the home, we know that having a fast and reliable service is vital to ensuring a great customer experience.”
The monthly increase is being effected to “sustain this rate of progress and proactively improve our services”, the company said.
