Melba Duncan to speak at administrative professional conference
Global executive assistant advocate Melba Duncan will be the main speaker at the Sixth Annual Administrative Professionals Development Conference in Bermuda next month.
The event is usually held in April on Administrative Professionals Day, but this year is being held earlier to fit with Ms Duncan’s schedule.
Private and public sector administrative professionals stand to benefit from Ms Duncan’s day-long coaching, backed up by more than 35 years of leading, coaching and working with administrative professionals.
“Competition, innovative technologies and an evolving global economy place new demands on C-suite executives and assistants,” Ms Duncan said. “High-quality administrative professionals are more integral to the realisation of management goals than ever before. Executive success is dependent upon these talented individuals.”
Ms Duncan is the founder and president of The Duncan Group Inc, an executive search, training and consulting firm specialising in recruitment of chiefs of staff and C-suite support.
Since 1985, the firm has been advising CEOs and other corporate leaders regarding specialised senior management support resources.
The firm operates internationally and offers expertise in four practice areas: recruitment, organisational consulting, coaching and executive-level training for administrative staff, with a focus on C-suite strategic executive management assistants.
She also founded the Duncan Leadership Institute, offering a targeted curriculum solution for multiple tiers of administrative support staff, and is the author of several books, most recently, EQ/IQ: Developing Emotional Intelligence for Effective Executive Support, published by Open Hand Press in 2021.
The conference will be held at Fairmont Hamilton Princess & Beach Club on March 24.
