Digicel Business has donated high-speed, reliable Fibre X internet to X-Roads Warriors F.C. for their Warrior Park training facility in Smith’s Parish.

A statement from Digicel Business described X-Roads Warriors F.C. as a community outreach organisation committed to football excellence, academic promise, and social development for children aged three to 17 years.

The facility provides coaching for children and young adults aspiring to achieve excellence in football.

The connectivity & ICT solutions provider said: “Digicel Business Fibre X Broadband will power complimentary Wi-Fi at Warrior Park for the Club's 120 players and a growing crowd of game-day spectators.

“Additionally, enhanced connectivity will upgrade the club's football education sessions and strengthen its academic tutoring programmes.”

Shane McDonnell, Digicel's head of Business Solutions, said: "Digicel is incredibly proud to join the X-Roads family and further build on the incredible work they do in the community, during the football season, and beyond.

“Fast, reliable fibre can be a game-changer and have a transformative effect, especially given the speed and reliability offered by a Fibre X.

“With this enhanced connectivity, the club can deliver more educational opportunities for players, co-ordinate events, and keep footballers and spectators connected to the people and things they know and love."

Khomeini Talbot, VP, X-Roads Warriors F.C., said: "The addition of internet to our grounds has been a blessing and we are very grateful for this generous donation from Digicel.

“We will now be able to incorporate more technology in our technical sessions, match analysis, simulations, and serve as a homework hub for our student athletes.

“We are excited to have Digicel Fibre X up and running soon so that we can continue to modernise the facilities at Warrior Park."
