Bermuda’s most coveted employer awards are now open to entries.

The 2023 RG Business Top Ten Employers Awards Presented by PwC encourages organisations and companies from all industries to participate in the annual event.

This is the 12th year that PwC Bermuda will be the presenting partner of the awards, which are co-sponsored by the Bermuda Human Resource Association and Global Research.

They acknowledge organisations in Bermuda that are hitting the mark when it comes to employee engagement and satisfaction, as well as talent retention – and are a celebration of the best employers in Bermuda, as ranked by their employees.

A year ago, law firm Carey Olsen rose above a prestigious set of finalists and emerged as the RG Top Employer in Bermuda.

The ten finalist employers were celebrated at a special awards breakfast.

Carey Olsen also won the Diversity Award, which is given as the result of a partnership with the BHRA.

Arthur Wightman, PwC Bermuda leader, said: "PwC is pleased to once again sponsor this annual celebration of organisations in Bermuda who are showing a commitment to people management and advancing employee wellbeing.

“Businesses today must find new and creative ways to attract and retain the best talent in markets that have never been more competitive – while continuing to manage and improve upon fast evolving hybrid work arrangements.

“We look forward to seeing the results of this year’s Top Ten Employers of Bermuda Awards.”

The award results are 100 per cent data-driven and calculated by Global Research, Bermuda’s leading agency in market research.

Global Research’s director Leslie Steede explained: “Both employees and management complete surveys that assess employment satisfaction across various areas such as employment benefits, career growth opportunities, communication and overall employee satisfaction.”

Krystle DaPonte, acting president of the BHRA, added: “We celebrate the continued commitment the RG and PwC have made to these annual awards.

“We are inspired by the organisations who are dedicated to moving the needle of diversity forward while also retaining and enriching their existing teams through professional development and cultural changes.

“I encourage more organisations to be intentional around their diversity strategy and participate in this awards programme as it provides valuable information. There is still a lot of work to be done here in Bermuda.”

The submission closing date is April 7.

Finalists will be notified in August, with the awards presentation at the event’s traditional in-person breakfast in September.

In August, the RG will interview employees and complete a series of videos that will accompany the breakfast and be posted online as a recap of the event. A special print feature will also publish.

Michael Grier, commercial director of RG Business, said: “The RG Top Ten Awards highlight the businesses with unique connections to their employees, they value both the confidential data-driven insights and in-person event.

“The breakfast event, special newsprint feature and videos have become must-shared content in Bermuda.”
