Law firm Conyers has promoted David Stubbs to counsel in the Corporate department of the Bermuda office.

In addition, the firm announced new local senior associates, including Andrew Barnes, Alexis Haynes, Sarah Lusher and William Cooper in Corporate, Sarah Blair in Dispute Resolution & Insolvency and Davina Hargun in Private Client & Trust.

The local names were among a raft of promotions announced by the firm on Monday night, including staff in offices in London, BVI, Cayman Islands and Hong Kong.

The changes included the appointment of three new partners, two in Cayman and one in London.

Conyers chairman and global managing partner Christian Luthi welcomed and congratulated the three new partners, the four new counsel and 10 senior associates promoted across jurisdictions and practice groups.

The role of senior associate is newly created, the firm said, reflecting the increasing contribution associates made to the success of the firm as they progressed in their careers at Conyers.

“This well-rounded and talented group has demonstrated excellence and commitment in their practices,” said Mr Luthi.

“In them we see the next generation of leadership across practice groups at Conyers. The whole firm is strengthened by these appointments.”
