Digicel and Gnosis reach out to Women’s Resource Centre
Digicel Business has partnered with technology consultant Gnosis to keep the Women’s Resource Centre connected with a donation of FibreX high speed internet.
Digicel Business said its donation of FibreX, and managed IT services through Gnosis, will assist the WRC with its daily office operations, client meetings and general community engagement.
Shane McDonnell, Digicel’s head of business solutions, said: “The Women’s Resource Centre supports women facing various challenges, by providing a safe space where they can get information, appropriate referrals and confidential counselling.
“This donation will help to supercharge the Centre in its mission to enhance the lives of women in Bermuda.”
Corey Brunton, COO of Gnosis, said: “Gnosis is thrilled to partner with the WRC and Digicel for this initiative; we saw an opportunity to help a worthy cause and jumped right in.
“Our goal is to provide the WRC with an amazing service and decrease its IT expenses by 90 per cent. By doing this, the WRC can put that money to better use, helping women.”
Juanae Crockwell, executive director of The Women’s Resource Centre, said: “The Women’s Resource Centre is pleased to have Digicel as our internet provider.
“These donated services, from Digicel and Gnosis, will go a long way in ensuring that we are able to service our clients, run our office and stay connected to the community, which is essential in this digital world.
“Through their generosity, we will continue to fulfil our mission of enhancing the lives of women in Bermuda.”
