Elevate helping employers find fintech professionals
Recruitment agency Elevate Executive Selection Bermuda is launching a dedicated fintech recruitment department, to run in conjunction with its cyber division.
Elevate director Sylvia Jones identified an increased demand for these professionals when she connected with many of the companies involved in the International Tech Summit last month.
“Bermuda is a well-known global business hub, holding key positions in the global insurance and reinsurance industries,” she said. “More recently, Bermuda has become a market leader in digital asset legislation that provides regulatory certainty and consumer confidence and compliance that is allowing the fintech sector to grow.”
Fintech is a catch-all term referring to software, mobile and other technologies created to automate or improve traditional forms of finance for businesses and consumers alike.
She said fintech and cybersecurity was gathering momentum in Bermuda and the world.
According to Grand View Research, the fintech market globally is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 14.7 per cent from 2023 to 2030, and cybersecurity at 12.3 per cent.
As a result, fintech and cybersecurity professionals are now in high-demand.
“Employers in these industries are therefore having to look at creative ways to attract and retain these highly skilled individuals, who have the privilege and capacity to do their jobs remotely from just about any corner of the world,” Ms Jones said.
She said the Elevate fintech and cyber recruitment divisions represented an impressive pool of professionals from around the world.
“From entry-level IT auditors to executive-level chief information security officers as well as fintech financial analysts, to blockchain developers – all are actively on the job market, desiring to work for leading Bermuda companies,” she said. “As this sector grows in Bermuda, the Elevate team is poised to support it with candidates both locally sourced and from around the world.”
