Security Associates Limited has promoted two members of its Security Training Centre team.

Caleb J. Crockwell becomes training and compliance officer and Ivan Outerbridge becomes lead training and compliance officer.

“The Security Training Centre at SA provides effective training for our security officers and supervisor teams and we are very excited to have such a dynamic duo leading the centre,” said SA chief executive officer Carlton Crockwell.

SA said anyone between the ages of 18 and 55 is invited to apply to start a career in security. The goal of the training centre is to assist new security officer recruits in developing a passion for the field as a viable career choice.

Mr Outerbridge said: “Development training for our security officers consists of such things as critical thinking, deductive reasoning and situational judgement decisions.

“For our security supervisors, development training consists of learning effective leadership skills, team-building exercises, as well as how to conduct performance reviews and appraisals.

“Hands-on, in-person training is the key to our success.”

All officers at SA must complete the programme to become licensed and approved to work in the field.

Mr Crockwell added: “Security Associates is committed to raising the standard of security island-wide by ensuring that we nurture security officers who are equipped with the correct knowledge to enforce the laws and to be in compliance with the rules and regulations of the island.”
