A Bermuda clothing retailer has expanded operations for the second time this year.

The Authentic Bermuda Shorts shop has opened a store in Royal Naval Dockyard and hired Lisa Bernardo as the store manager.

This latest opening follows TABS’ recent expansion to the Caribbean, with the launch of a store in the Cayman Islands earlier this year.

The TABS flagship store is on Reid Street in Hamilton.

"We are thrilled to open our doors in Dockyard Bermuda and become a part of the retail community," said Rebecca Singleton, founder and creative director of TABS Bermuda.

"We are grateful for the warm welcome we have received and are excited to bring our unique island-inspired clothing to both locals and visitors.

“The new store represents our continued commitment to quality, creativity, and celebrating the beauty of Bermuda."

The new store in Clocktower Mall brings the company’s vibrant and stylish clothing to a prime location and aims to attract an influx of potential customers, including cruise ship passengers.

A spokeswoman said the interior design of the new shop paid homage to the historic nature of the building, featuring exposed stone work, a charming ceiling, and a refurbished original barn door.

TABS will be launching an exclusive 10th anniversary collection to mark the milestone. The limited-edition line will feature brand new colours and a new print to celebrate the evolution of TABS Bermuda over the past decade.

Ms Singleton said: "From selling five Bermuda Shorts colours at Harbour Nights to distributing worldwide, this ten-year anniversary is a testament to our commitment to craftsmanship and our love of all things Bermuda.
