Appleby takes on 13 summer interns
Thirteen Bermudian high school, college or university students are participating in the 2023 summer internship programme at Appleby.
The internships, which range in duration from two to ten weeks, match a student with a mentor in a legal practice area or support group department in the law firm’s Bermuda office.
One student will work with Appleby Global Services, the firm’s fiduciary services provider, which offers a range of administration and reporting services.
In the corporate department, the summer interns are Imani Bell, Max Blakeney, Ice’ces Jackson, Megan Lau, Skye Oliveira, Miaya Pereira, Jada Rogers-Ingemann and Harley Rouwhorst.
Jasmin Brown will split her time between the dispute resolution and corporate departments.
Mya Gibbons will split her time between the dispute resolution department and AGS.
Guielle Bean will intern in the private client & trusts department.
In the operations department, the interns are Jeremias Pietila and Danni Watson.
Brad Adderley, Bermuda managing partner, said: “Students and the next generation is our future. We very much welcome this amazing group of students. We encourage their curiosity and thirst for knowledge. We are excited to watch and support them as they continue with their studies and embark on their careers.”
Appleby said it is to host a summer law student event on Thursday with many Bermudian students attending. For more information, visit the firm’s LinkedIn account.
Students that attend will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $2,500 travel voucher. The winner of the prize will be announced at the event.
