Enhancements coming for online marketplace
The eMoo platform, Bermuda’s largest local marketplace website, will undergo security and performance upgrades designed to create a better seller and user experience, the eMoo product manager has said.
Michael Grier said there would be no interruption in service but the changes would mean a fresher look with brighter pictures.
He said: “In essence, things will move around to make eMoo more user friendly. There will also be improvements with regard to the speed. The platform and mobile responsiveness will be increased to allow for easier uploads and creation of ads on the go.
“There will be security updates in real-time and increased featured posts, meaning you can sell your items faster.”
Mr Grier said that the number of eMoo users negotiating the platform to buy and sell online continues to grow from more than 50,000.
He said: “With those customers, over 350,000 adverts on the platform and over 150,000 items were exchanged.
“There are 39,000 subscribers who get new listings daily from eMoo users, many who regularly open the e-mail to find new listings posted in real time.”
The eMoo online classified ads service is a division of the Bermuda Press Holdings Ltd, the owners of The Royal Gazette.
