Special course for entrepreneurs opens next month
Local entrepreneurs can learn more about establishing goals and managing risks through an innovative international programme first introduced to the island in 2015.
Think Like an Entrepreneuris an in-depth course, this year beginning September 18, driven by the internationally recognised, award-winning Ice House Entrepreneurship Programme. It provides a challenging learning experience for budding entrepreneurs.
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation has prepared for the next class of participants for a course designed to reveal new opportunities, ignite ambition and foster the skills that empower individuals to reach new heights as an entrepreneur.
The curriculum for the course draws on eight fundamental concepts designed to bring success.
It is facilitated by Ray Lambert, director of micro, small and medium enterprise, who said: "BEDC believes in empowering individuals to tap into their entrepreneurial potential, and this course exemplifies their commitment to that mission.
"The Think Like an Entrepreneur course will provide invaluable insights and practical knowledge to all attendees, propelling them towards their entrepreneurial dreams.
Participants will learn how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, identify and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, establish goals, manage risks and build a successful brand.
The eight-week scheme will aid in developing cross-discipline entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviours and skills.
Past students say the course opened their eyes to the possibilities of their ideas, and showed how to actualise their dreams and passions.
• The Think Like an Entrepreneur course will be taught at the BEDC Main Office, weekly, on Mondays. The course ($325) must have a minimum of 15 participants to proceed and there is a 40-participant maximum. Early bird pricing ($292) ends August 29
