IT and Internal auditors host annual meeting
AI, privacy, cybersecurity, together with environmental, social and corporate governance are 21st-century buzzwords.
A host of subject-matter experts will delve into the pressing issues surrounding sustainability, ethics, and innovation across these topics at a conference on Thursday at the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club.
The Bermuda chapters of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Institute of Internal Audit field a full-day event at their annual conference, themed Beyond Boundaries: Exploring Sustainability in Audit and Technology.
Expected to attend are professionals in the fields of audit and technology, governance and risk management.
They include those working in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education and security.
The group said the insights and knowledge emerging from the discussions involving 20 speakers will make the event an invaluable learning opportunity.
The speakers are a cross-section of professionals from IT, accounting, legal, insurance, regulatory and compliance houses. Government and other specialist firms will also be represented.
A press statement said the central theme “reflects the industry’s increasing need to integrate sustainability practices into audit and technology processes”.
They said: “Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how these fields intersect with sustainability and how they can contribute to a more sustainable future.
“Beyond the educational sessions, the event is designed to provide attendees with ample opportunities to network with peers, exchange ideas and foster valuable professional connections.”
