Realtor to give webinar on investment opportunities in UK city
A leading Bermuda realtor is to present a webinar looking at property investment opportunities in a powerhouse city in North West England.
Brian Madeiros, the president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty, will be co-hosting the webinar on Friday about Manchester in conjunction with one of city’s largest developers, Alliance Investments, a leading property development company with assets worth more than $1.5 billion across Britain.
“We felt a webinar would be an effective way of introducing potential acquisition opportunities to our community members,” Mr Madeiros said.
He said a recent report showed that property prices in the North West of England remained strong, with yields in Manchester outperforming London.
“Residential rental demand is at an all-time high and current data suggests they are receiving 30 inquiries for every new rental introduced to the market.
“Referrals from Bermuda have included buyers who wish to relocate to the city, investors who are looking to diversify and parents who purchase apartments for their children in advance of their university attendance,” Mr Madeiros added.
The webinar will focus on the economic growth and the strength of the market in Manchester and provide some examples of new developments.
Mr Madeiros was educated in Sheffield, obtaining a real estate-related degree in 1990.
“My time spent in the North gave me a unique socioeconomic perspective as it relates to what was a very distinct divide between the North and South of England, which undervalued the North's economic presence in the broader economy.
“As many of the northern cities benefited from significant investment as a result of the UK’s membership with the EU, the cities gradually transformed themselves from what was seemingly an industrial base to a service sector.
“Manchester has grown significantly since the 1990s and continues to grow. This represents an opportunity to invest in residential real estate.”
