Applications open for non-profit accelerator programme
An organisation dedicated to helping the charitable sector is now accepting applications until December 4 for a course focused on the development and upscaling of non-profits.
The Non-profit Alliance of Bermuda, formerly the Inter Agency Committee of Bermuda, is accepting applications for its new Propel programme, an intensive accelerator programme designed specifically for non-profits.
A spokeswoman said: “The programme includes two tracks: a Readiness track and an Accelerator track. This two-track format allows non-profits at differing stages of their life cycle to participate in the track that best suits their needs.
“This type of locally designed and delivered capacity-building programme is a first for Bermuda and gives non-profits and their supporters the confidence of knowing they are maturing to better execute, scale sustainability and maximise their community impact.
“The Participation in the Propel programme will help non-profits to develop best-practice standards, define long-term strategies and build mechanisms towards sustainable financial health.”
She added: “Participants will benefit from an organisation assessment, training on the Bermuda National Standards Committee standards of excellence, executive coaching and strategy development.”
The lead programme coaches are Claudette Fleming and Glenn Faries.
Dr Fleming and Dr Faries are two of the Non-profit Alliance strategy and capacity-building consultants.
Non-profit Alliance executive director Nicola Paugh said: “Propel’s design and launch is a huge milestone for us and for the non-profit community.”
Dr Paugh added: “As a sector, non-profits punch far above their weight in terms of what they provide with the resources they have, and there are non-profits who need more support to develop into mature businesses that are best-positioned to execute on their missions.”
