Bacardi pop-up offers brand samples at tasting
Bacardi has launched a pop-up bar for the holiday season to offer tasting experiences of some of its most popular brands.
The 1862 Holiday Pop-Up is on the second floor of the Bermuda Visitor Services Centre on Front Street in Hamilton until December 23.
The bar is inspired by the award-winning 1862 Cocktail Bar at Bacardi’s global headquarters on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke, and has been designed to capture its most impressive features, including a floor-to-ceiling wall of spirits, portraits of Bacardi’s founding fathers, lounge seating and a celestial ceiling showcasing the constellation that was over Cuba on February 4, 1862 when Bacardi rum was born.
Douglas Mello, the Bacardi Limited managing director, said: “The Bacardi 1862 Holiday Pop-Up offers a unique opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in the essence of our award-winning 1862 Cocktail Bar and discover our incredible portfolio of brands.
“Our purpose is to ‘make moments matter’, and we are excited to invite everyone to taste our exceptional spirits as they gather to enjoy time with friends, family, and colleagues during this holiday season."
Ticketed tastings at the pop-up are available online through Ptix for $100 each. Every guest will receive a full-size bottle of a premium spirit.
Patrons can choose from three distinct tastings focusing on rum, tequila, or whisky and guided by Bacardi brand ambassadors.
Bacardi said the 45-minute tasting includes a welcome cocktail, the St-Germain Spritz, followed by a curated tasting selection of four or five premium spirits from the chosen category.
Space is limited to 20 attendees for each tasting experience and is available throughout the week with guests choosing a time slot.
