Volunteers recognised by Chamber
A host of Good Samaritans were honoured by the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce with a special volunteer appreciation breakfast.
During International Volunteer Day yesterday, the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s non-profit division paid tribute to local volunteers.
The breakfast held at Ignite’s headquarters at 14 Wesley Street, Hamilton, was attended by community leaders and charity representatives.
“It was an opportunity not only to acknowledge the hard work of all volunteers but also to specially recognise a few individuals for their exceptional service,” a chamber spokesman said.

•Shela Grant, Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
•Richard Campbell, Employee Assistance Programme Bermuda.
•Roberta Wolffe, Family Centre

“The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s non-profit division believes in the power of volunteerism and its ability to bring about positive change in our community,” the chamber said.
“Today’s event was not just a celebration but also a testament to the spirit of giving that thrives in Bermuda. We are thankful to each volunteer who has contributed their time and effort to make our community a better place.”
The chamber aims to grow this event, continuing to recognise and appreciate the extraordinary contributions of the island’s volunteers.
