Deloitte supplies holiday cheer

The Family Centre’s executive director, Sandy De Silva, and director of counselling services, Susan Richardson, accepted presents on behalf of nine clients in the "Adopt A Family Programme" (Photograph supplied)

Nine client families of Family Centre have received some holiday cheer with the help of a $25,000 donation from Deloitte Bermuda.

Deloitte staff paired into teams and purchased gifts, including board games, Barbies and art supplies.

Each family member will also receive a Christmas stocking filled with essential items and holiday treats - in addition, the firm also provided electricity, grocery vouchers and a holiday feast for each family.

Deloitte Caribbean and Bermuda chief executive John Johnston said: "The partners and employees of Deloitte Bermuda are honoured to be able to assist Bermuda families in need.

“We thank the Family Centre for its tireless work in bringing relief and promoting joy in our community, particularly at this time of year."

Sandy De Silva, the executive director of Family Centre, said: "We are once again appreciative of Deloitte's ongoing generosity towards those facing significant financial challenges, especially during the special holiday season.

“We extend our thanks to the entire Deloitte team for partnering with Family Centre in our shared mission to create a better Bermuda for our children.

“Deloitte's direct assistance to families in need instils hope, emphasising that each day brings new opportunities for healing and positive transformation. Both our client families and staff are deeply thankful for Deloitte's remarkable generosity."
