The West End Development Corporation is to capitalise on the early days of winter to spruce up the store fronts in the Clocktower Mall at Royal Naval Dockyard.

The mall is to close temporarily from January 20 until February 23.

During the closure, a Wedco spokeswoman said, the mall will undergo minor transformations, which will include the painting of the store grates, creating a more attractive shopping experience.

Rebecca Martin, marketing and events manager at Wedco, said: “We are thrilled to embark on a project to revitalise the Clocktower Mall this winter.

“Although the changes are minor, we have plans to continue refreshing and modernising the space while maintaining its historical integrity and charm.”

The venue is already on reduced winter hours of 11am until 4pm daily, with extended hours on cruise ship days.

After the mall reopens on February 24, winter hours will remain in effect, continuing through the end of March, with some stores offering additional extended hours.
