Hamilton Princess gets nod as best island hotel
The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has been named best hotel in Bermuda in the 14th annual rankings by US News and World Report.
Taking the second through fifth spots are Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa; Rosewood Bermuda; The Loren at Pink Beach; and the St Regis Bermuda Resort.
US News said that the 2024 rankings highlighted more than 37,000 hotels across more than 400 destinations to help travellers find the hotel that suited their needs.
The organisation said the rankings followed a comprehensive, transparent methodology that factored in each hotel's star rating, the aggregate opinion of published travel experts and the overall customer satisfaction expressed in online guest reviews of luxury hotels and resorts provided by Tripadvisor.
Other winners in the best hotel category: Acqualina Resort & Residences, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida (US); Badrutt's Palace Hotel, St Moritz, Switzerland (Europe); Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal (Mexico); Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver (Canada); and Jade Mountain Resort, St Lucia (Caribbean).
"As the travel landscape evolves, there is a shift toward meeting the needs of modern travellers. The hotel industry is striving to offer culturally authentic experiences and high levels of customer service, recognising that today’s explorers seek connections with their destinations," said Zach Watson, senior travel editor at US News.
"The 2024 Best Hotels rankings offer travellers dependable options to stay for every type of trip, balancing location, amenities and quality service to ensure an enjoyable experience."
The organisation said more than 40 million people visited USNews.com each month for research and guidance.
