Women entrepreneurs and business owners and leaders are being surveyed until March 4, with the aim of evaluating the requirements and needs of women-led micro, small and medium enterprises on access to finance in the areas of sustainable tourism, agricultural, cultural and creative industries in Bermuda.

The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, in partnership with the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation and the Ministry of Youth, Social Development, and Seniors, is carrying out the consultancy entitled “Needs Assessment on Financial Instruments for Women-owned MSMEs'' led by the expert Carlos Cesar Yammal.

All information provided is confidential and will be reported in an aggregated manner, without identifying individual responses, the BEDC said.

The survey is intended for women business owners/leaders and women entrepreneurs. The estimated maximum time for filling out the survey is ten minutes, and it can be done on a mobile device.

A spokeswoman said: “Your responses will allow us to get a wider view of the financing instruments for women-owned MSMEs, and inform the work of UN Women, the Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, and the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation in developing financial products that respond to women-led MSMEs needs.”
