Ignite Bermuda deadline nears
Applications for the Ignite Bermuda Young Adult Entrepreneurial Internship programme will close on Friday at 5pm.
Ignite is encouraging people between 18 and 25 years old who are interested in, or curious to learn about, entrepreneurship to apply for this summer’s eight-week programme.
The part-time paid scheme aims to support the development of young adults’ passions for entrepreneurship through workshops with industry experts, project-based internships within local start-ups and connectivity with a growing community of entrepreneurs.
The programme will run from July 9 until August 27 and offer successful applicants the opportunity to gain real-world experience within some of Bermuda’s top start-ups as they work on independent projects within their assigned host business or organisation.
Interns engage with Ignite entrepreneurs through activities that include host mentorship, workshops and small group discussions.
Workshop topics include the entrepreneurial mindset, customer discovery, marketing, Bermuda economic overview, health and wellness and access to capital.
Ignite said the programme is committed to equitably empowering Bermuda's young adults to follow their passion for entrepreneurship.
Academic certifications and work experience are not required for admission into the programme.
Applicants must be 18 to 25 years old, Bermudian or have permission to work in Bermuda, able to commit to the programme fully, possess a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
