More than $5,000 was raised for Relay For Life Bermuda 2024 by the cancer charity’s lead sponsor, Liberty Mutual Bermuda, through a recent fundraising dunk tank.

Liberty employees either volunteered – or where nominated – as others aimed to drop them into the water tank.

The event, hosted at Taste 141 at Seon Place in Hamilton, required participants to make a donation so they could take their shot at dunking Liberty staff in the cold water.

All funds raised were donated to Relay for Life of Bermuda 2024 and Taste 141 added to the cause, by providing a percentage of their bar proceeds.

The fun event brought together employees, brokers and community members.

The mission of Relay For Life of Bermuda is to raise awareness and funds to support access to cancer prevention, early detection, treatment and support provided by Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

The community team fundraising event, ensures that 97 per cent of funds raised stay in Bermuda to provide access to prevention education and radiation therapy regardless of one’s health insurance status or ability to pay.

The remaining 3 per cent funds American Cancer Society's Global Relay For Life initiatives.
