Kaylee Trott awarded Deloitte Scholarship
The 2024 Deloitte Scholarship recipient is Kaylee Trott.
Deloitte awards up to $30,000 per year for a maximum of three years to Bermudians pursuing an undergraduate degree and who are interested in accounting, actuarial, financial advisory, risk advisory, or other business-related studies.
Ms Trott said she was grateful to Deloitte and honoured to be chosen.
She added: “The Deloitte Scholarship is now an instrumental part of my journey, affording me the ability to complete my university degree in Canada.”
The Deloitte Scholarship Committee said the recipient emerged out of an impressive group of applicants by unanimous agreement.
She is in her second year at Dalhousie University, studying a bachelor of commerce co-op degree and plans to declare accounting as her major in her third year, with graduation planned for June 2026.
Ms Trott has been involved in Deloitte’s Exclusive Experience Programme and Co-op Programme and also interned on the firm’s Audit & Assurance team.
She said: “The experience I’ve gained is invaluable and I am eager to continue learning. Upon graduation, I look forward to pursuing my Chartered Professional Accountant designation with the support of the Deloitte community.”
Heldar Carreiro, Audit & Assurance partner and Deloitte Scholarship Committee member, said: “Kaylee has demonstrated commitment to her educational journey and dedication towards pursuing her accounting professional designation.
“Deloitte wishes her continued success and looks forward to supporting her financially and through her work experiences during her co-op terms.”
Deloitte hosts a Student Networking Event on Monday, July 22 and invites recent high-school graduates and university students who are interested in a career at a financial services firm.
