International law firm Appleby has appointed insurance lawyer Cathryn Minors as counsel in the corporate department in Bermuda.

“I am thrilled to be joining Appleby’s corporate department, where I can contribute my skills and work alongside such a reputable team,” said Ms Minors.

“The firm’s training and development of Bermudians, commitment to excellence and client satisfaction aligns seamlessly with my work ethic and personal ethos. I look forward to embarking on this next chapter of my career with Appleby.”

Brad Adderley, the Bermuda managing partner, added: “We are excited to welcome Cathryn to Appleby and to our market-leading insurance team.

“Cathryn’s diverse and extensive insurance and reinsurance experience will be invaluable in supporting our dynamic practice and expanding portfolio of clients. Cathryn’s addition not only bolsters our insurance team but also supports our wider corporate practice, which continues to grow.”

Ms Minors, a Bermudian, has a wide range of experience in corporate and commercial matters, having worked in the Bermuda market for many years advising on insurance and reinsurance matters involving life insurance securitisations, catastrophe bonds, special purpose insurers, and long-term and general business commercial re/insurers.

Prior to joining Appleby, Ms Minors worked with two other offshore law firms in Bermuda and Hong Kong. She was called to the Bermuda Bar in 2015.
