CariGenetics is launching a suite of at-home genetic testing products that includes paternity tests and other DNA analyses that confirm family relationships, nutrition requirements and fitness recommendations.

“In today’s world, where maintaining a healthy lifestyle can be increasingly expensive, our at-home testing kits offer an accessible and affordable solution,” said CariGenetics founder and chief executive Carika Weldon.

The Know4Sure paternity test and Family4Sure familial test are advertised at $249 on the CariGenetics website.

The kits, which can be ordered online, collect genetic material through a cheek swab.

They are designed to be user-friendly, providing clear and actionable insights into users’ health and wellness.

The aim is to provide novel services for Bermuda and Caribbean populations.

The results are personalised based on DNA, tailored to unique needs and provide invaluable insights that can improve health, wellness and overall quality of life.

“We are proud to make these innovative tools available to our community,” she stated.

Dr Weldon said CariGenetics prioritises the security and safety of the data collected. All genetic data is securely stored and managed to ensure the highest standards of privacy and protection.

CariGenetics has partnered with a certified health coach at Primal Nation to provide personalised guidance to help users incorporate the feedback from CariGenetics’ fitness test, Fitness4You.

They have also partnered with the newly launched children’s sports charity NSpire Bermuda.

Dr Weldon said: “This way, not only do you receive results, but you also gain expert advice on how to maximise those results and improve your child’s fitness.”
