Hands On Therapy introduces telehealth services
Physiotherapy clinic Hands On Therapy is launching telehealth services so that patients may get care and consultation remotely.
Owner Shirlene Dill said the new initiative is designed to provide the same level of care that patients have come to expect from in-person visits to her clinic, with the added flexibility of remote access.
“We have recognised that everything is moving digitally and many businesses already offer telehealth services,” Ms Dill said. “We took a little bit longer as we wanted to make sure that the same quality services could still be offered remotely by our clinic.
She said the key benefits to this are convenience, accessibility and safety.
“Patients can schedule and attend appointments from their home or office or anywhere they choose,” she said.
This will be particularly useful for clients with mobility issues, or people who live in remote areas.
Virtual sessions also reduce the risk of exposure to potentially contagious illnesses, ensuring the health and safety of both patients and staff.
“Patients can also maintain treatment plans without interruption, even if they are unable to visit the clinic in person,” Ms Dill said.
During virtual sessions, a licensed physiotherapist will conduct thorough assessments, guide patients through personalised treatment plans, and offer expert advice on managing their conditions or injuries.
