Conyers starts 2024 summer internships
Conyers has begun its 2024 Bermuda Summer Law Student Programme, with eight law students or recent graduates interning at the firm over two six-week terms.
It allows aspiring legal professionals to gain practical experience and insights into the field of law.
Throughout the programme students participate in active cases, conduct legal research, and draft documents in the Corporate, Litigation, and Private Client & Trust practice areas.
They are mentored by partners, associates and trainees, who provide guidance on navigating the complexities of legal practice.
The law firm said that it was dedicated to fostering the growth and development of participants.
Interns have access to a wide range of professional development resources, including seminars focused on essential legal skills, ethics and best practices.
Christian Luthi, Conyers chairman, said: “Conyers is committed to investing in the next generation of legal professionals.
“Our Summer Law Student Programme offers students a chance to obtain ‘real world’ experience in a busy international law firm.
“Many of our lawyers began their careers as interns at the firm. We seek high-calibre students and partner them with our lawyers, who aim to mentor them during their time with us.
“We hope to help them shape their career paths and inspire them to consider a future in law and with Conyers.”
Applications for next summer’s programme for 2025 are already being accepted on the company’s website.
Registration until July 25 is available for a student open house in August about the firm and the 2025 student law programme.
