KPMG highlights support for island’s community

KPMG in Bermuda contributed more than $1.2 million in support to the community in 2023, a report by the organisation has revealed.

The firm's Impact Report 2023: Together Towards Tomorrow, highlighted its progress on the four pillars towards a more sustainable future: governance, people, planet and prosperity.

Last year, the report said, KPMG in Bermuda contributed more than $1.2 million in scholarships, financial giving, pro bono work and community service hours to Bermuda.

James Berry, chief executive, said: “To achieve a better tomorrow, we must work together with trust, transparency and integrity.

“Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our dedicated staff, whose unwavering commitment drives our mission of advancing corporate citizenship and leaving a positive legacy for future generations.”

In 2023, the firm said, KPMG Global Values Week was launched, highlighting its five core values of integrity, excellence, courage, together and for better.

The report highlighted KPMG in Bermuda's diverse workforce, consisting of 51 per cent female and 49 per cent male employees.

Last October, it added, three women leaders were promoted to partner — Anam Khan (Advisory), Sarah Robey (Tax) and Felicia Wilsen (Audit).

The firm's staff come from 30 countries, and in 2023, it added new hires from 14 countries.
