Small business urged to sign up for QuickBooks course

Small-business owners are being encouraged to sign up for a course on how to use the accounting software QuickBooks.

The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation has partnered with accounting firm Abacus to run the four-week course called QuickBooks 101.

A BEDC spokeswoman said: “This course is designed to help small-business owners, entrepreneurs and anyone looking to streamline their accounting processes master QuickBooks Online.”

The course will run from August 13 to September 3, with weekly sessions every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the BEDC main office, on the first floor of Sofia House, 48 Church Street, Hamilton.

Lennox Cumberbatch, the director of accounting services at Abacus, said: “We’re excited to collaborate with BEDC to deliver a course that can transform how business owners approach their finances.

“Understanding QuickBooks is essential for any successful business, and this course aims to make that easier than ever.”

Registration is open and the course fee is $350 for BEDC members and $375 for the general public and non-registered BEDC businesses and entrepreneurs.
