Students complete Bacardi internship programme
Five Bermudian students have successfully completed a summer internship programme with Bacardi, getting hands-on experience in different aspects of the company.
Alana Rogers, human resource director at Bacardi International Limited, said: “At Bacardi, we are deeply committed to providing the next generation of Bermudians with opportunities that set them up for future success.
“Our internship programme offers students a chance to immerse themselves in a vibrant culture and to contribute to our shared legacy.
“We’re not just offering internships, we’re building a pathway for young Bermudians to grow, challenge themselves, and become part of something greater.”
The interns were Andreaz Glasgow, a student at Long Island University, who is pursuing a double bachelor’s in International Relations and Diplomacy and Political Science; Amber Simons, who is studying Recreation and Sports Business with a focus on marketing at the University of Waterloo, Ontario; Jada Outerbridge, who will be starting her MBA in Human Resources at Johnson and Wales University in September; Brandon Medeiros, who is pursuing a Masters of Sport Management at Brock University and Imani Phillips, who recently graduated from Cardiff University Law School.
Mr Glasgow said: “This is my second year with Bacardi in Bermuda. Returning for another year, I was initially concerned about repeating the same tasks.
“However, I can confidently say that I have continued to grow during my time here. Bacardi has exposed me to various facets of the organisation, challenging me and empowering me to feel like a true primo.”
