A former Commanding Officer of the Royal Bermuda Regiment is to offer his leadership skills for the benefit of the private sector.

Lieutenant-Colonel (Ret) Benjamin Beasley has been appointed as principal adviser and partner at ASK Bermuda, the business and leadership consultancy.

He was succeeded as RBR CO on May 31 by Lieutenant-Colonel Duncan Simons.

Four months ago, in an interview with The Royal Gazette, Colonel Beasley said of his future: “Look out for me in the private sector, where, hopefully I can use my experience for the benefit of everybody else and be a better citizen, like I ask everyone else to be.”

ASK Bermuda said: “With a distinguished career spanning leadership roles in the Royal Bermuda Regiment, Royal Air Force, and Bermuda Police Service, Ben brings a wealth of strategic insight, operational experience, and a proven ability to lead high-performance teams during critical periods.”

Stephen Caton, founder and chief adviser of ASK Bermuda, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ben to the ASK Bermuda family. His leadership experience and ability to drive transformation under pressure make him an invaluable asset.

“As principal adviser, Ben will lead key engagements to deliver tailored solutions for small and medium sized enterprises in Bermuda and internationally.

“His appointment strengthens our commitment to providing clients with the agility, support, and expertise they need to thrive in today’s dynamic business landscape.”

The company said Colonel Beasley has demonstrated exceptional leadership, most notably by commanding over 300 soldiers during the 175-day Covid-19 embodiment and steering the RBR’s transformation into an all-volunteer force.

It added: “His achievements also include establishing the RBR Coast Guard and playing a significant role in international military affairs, where his strategic vision and inspiring leadership were pivotal in driving success.”

Colonel Beasley said: “I am excited to be part of ASK Bermuda, a company that not only understands the unique challenges faced by businesses in Bermuda but is also committed to empowering them with thoughtful, strategic solutions.

“I look forward to leveraging my experience in leadership, strategy, and operational excellence to help our clients achieve their goals.

“The values of ASK Bermuda align perfectly with my own commitment to service, and I’m eager to contribute to our shared vision of supporting businesses in Bermuda and beyond.”

The company said: “The addition of Ben Beasley to ASK Bermuda’s leadership team underscores the consultancy’s dedication to offering world-class advisory services.

“His leadership experience and strategic vision further enhance ASK Bermuda’s ability to deliver exceptional value to both local and international businesses.”

ASK Bermuda said it is a bespoke consultancy composed of seasoned leaders and business professionals with decades of senior management, strategic advisory, and boardroom experience.

The company’s expertise spans business analysis and transformation, business support and project management, and leadership and direction.
