RG Top 10 Employer Awards are the island’s top accolades

Sixteen years after their inception, the RG Top 10 Employer Awards, presented by PwC, are firmly established as Bermuda’s most prestigious business accolades.

Employer representatives will be on hand at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club tomorrow morning for the presentation ceremony.

PwC is in its thirteenth year as the presenting sponsor for the awards. The scheme acknowledges local organisations that excel in employee engagement, satisfaction and talent retention.

In recognising top employers voted by their own employees, the awards showcase businesses that positively influence their workforce and set the bar for the entire community.

Arthur Wightman, territory leader for PwC Bermuda, said: “Congratulations to this year’s Top 10 Employers. These organisations are at the forefront of transforming the workplace in Bermuda.

“Their dedication to innovation, inclusivity, and employee development is driving positive change in our community and setting a benchmark for excellence.

“As employers, they know that when you meaningfully engage your workforce, they become an accelerant for successful transformation.”

He added: “As the findings of PwC’s recent Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey suggest, job satisfaction is no longer enough.

“In a work climate characterised by constant technological change, employees are placing an increased premium on organisations that invest in their skills growth so that they can stay relevant and thrive in a digital world.

“However, less than half (46 per cent) agree that their employer provides adequate opportunities to learn new skills. Businesses must be proactive in their upskilling programmes — prioritising the employee experience and being transparent.

“We look forward to celebrating with this year’s leading Bermuda employers, and hearing more about their innovative employee engagement strategies.”

Global Research, led by Leslie Steede, partners with The Royal Gazette to conduct the annual survey, and tabulate its results, which are 100 per cent data-driven.

The study involves both employees and management participating in surveys that evaluate satisfaction in diverse areas, including employment benefits, career advancement opportunities, communication, and overall employee contentment.

Aside from recognising the island’s top 10 employers, the Bermuda Human Resource Association sponsors an annual Diversity Award.

The 2024 RG Top 10 Employer Awards will be held on Tuesday at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club.
