ZipX and BEDC lower shipping costs for small businesses
ZipX and the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation have joined forces to provide Bermudian small business owners and local entrepreneurs with a discount on their shipping costs.
BEDC-registered businesses are eligible for a discount on ZipX shipping services when they sign up for a free ZipX membership.
Kevin Smith, managing director of ZipX said: “Small businesses and entrepreneurs play a vital role in Bermuda’s economy and with this initiative, we hope to support their growth and sustainability.
“We are excited to collaborate with the BEDC to provide their registered businesses with reduced costs associated with shipping goods and supplies to Bermuda.
“By offering this discount, we aim to help local small businesses remain competitive and thrive in a challenging economic environment.”
Bermudian entrepreneurs and small business owners must register with the BEDC and ZipX.
Jamillah Lodge, director of Communication & Development at the BEDC said: “The BEDC’s partnership with ZipX is a win-win for the local business community.
“The registration process is simple, and the savings are immediate, removing barriers for our local small businesses and entrepreneurs to allow them to focus on their core business activities.
“By making it easier and more cost-effective for small businesses to import the goods they need, we hope to encourage their growth and success.
“This initiative reflects our and our partner’s ongoing commitment to empowering Bermuda’s entrepreneurs and small businesses.”
