Companies concerned about the rising incidence of cyberattacks can learn about the dark web, the latest hacking methods and explore the latest trends.

A new course from technology firm Supatone Limited, Cybersecurity 101, for business owners and organisations, begins on Monday.

Participants will learn the essential networking concepts that underpin cybersecurity. They will be given live examples, such as use of the dark web, Flipper Zero and Wi-Fi Pineapple.

There will be information on best practices to defend against potential attacks.

A rising number of organisations have faced cyberattacks recently, including the government, a local grocery store and even this newspaper.

The workshop kicks off the first day of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, with the Bermuda Economic Development Company.

“Cybersecurity 101 offers an opportunity for C-suite executives and information technology professionals to deepen their knowledge of cybersecurity threats and defences,” Supatone founder Adrian Lodge said.

“It bridges the gap between technical expertise and executive-level understanding, ensuring leaders and technical teams are well-equipped to protect their organisations from cyberthreats.”
