CFA Society dinner to study the Trump effect
The Annual Forecast Dinner of the CFA Society Bermuda will focus on “The Trump Effect. What does the US election mean for markets in 2025?”
The dinner, scheduled for January 21 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club ballroom, is the marquee event of the CFA Society Bermuda.
The event is regularly attended by 200 investment professionals, industry experts, and finance enthusiasts interested in learning about finance and the economy.
Pamela DaCosta, president of the CFA Society Bermuda, commented: “We are excited to be hosting the Annual Forecast Dinner once again to discuss the state of the global economy and looking at the thematic forces influencing the financial markets.

As global markets navigate increasingly complex political dynamics, abrupt shifts in trade policies and ideological conflicts around the world, there are challenges and opportunities present, a statement from the Society said.
Lee Ferridge, senior managing director and head of macro strategy for the Americas for State Street Global Markets will take the stage as this year’s keynote speaker.
His remarks will focus on global trade, the 2024 US election results and potential legislation given the new composition of Congress. His insights are meant to provide valuable guidance to investors as they navigate the risks and rewards of 2025.
The Annual Forecast Dinner is geared to address the most pressing issues facing today's investors and to shed light on leading market indicators in the coming months.
