Rebecca Khanna promoted to leadership role at Clarien

Clarien Bank Ltd has promoted Rebecca Oriel Khanna to the role of senior vice-president, head of internal audit.

“Rebecca’s promotion is a testament to her exceptional leadership abilities and her profound understanding of internal auditing requirements,” said Clarien’s chief executive, Ian Truran.

“Her expertise will be invaluable in driving our audit strategies forward, ensuring rigorous adherence to standards of excellence and contributing to our overall corporate governance.”

Clarien said Ms Khanna has more than a decade of specialised experience across internal audit, risk management, and corporate compliance.

Her prior positions have spanned significant global responsibilities, delivering strategic outcomes in Bermuda, Canada and the Philippines.

At Clarien, the bank said her focus will be directed towards enhancing internal controls across all group entities.

It said her prior roles at Conyers Dill & Pearman and Deloitte Bermuda and Canada underscore her ability to develop an audit strategy that significantly enhance the organisation’s internal control environment.

A spokesman for the bank said: “Since joining Clarien Bank as VP of internal audit in October 2022, Ms Khanna has significantly enhanced the internal audit department’s performance. Her strategic focus on team building and leadership excellence has supported a transformative shift towards a culture of high achievement.”

Ms Khanna said: “I am deeply honoured by this promotion and see it as a recognition not just of my work, but of the hard work and dedication of the entire internal audit team.
