Future Leaders Forum connects students with risk industry
The Bermuda Business Development Agency will launch the Future Leader Forum next week as part of the Bermuda Risk Summit, aiming to connect students and career changers with opportunities in the island’s risk and insurance industry.
The event, scheduled for March 12 at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club, will feature panel discussions, networking sessions and mentorship opportunities designed to introduce attendees to career pathways in the sector.
“This initiative is very close to my heart,” said Olivia Joell, stakeholder relationship manager at the BDA.
“The Future Leaders Forum is not just another networking event – it is about investing in Bermuda’s talent pool and creating clear pathways for the next generation to thrive in our industry.
“We want to empower students and career changers with knowledge, connections and inspiration to see the risk sector as a viable and rewarding career choice.”
Bermuda’s reinsurance market plays a key role in the global economy, and industry leaders see talent development as key to ensuring its continued success.
The Future Leaders Forum will highlight career opportunities in underwriting, risk management, finance, actuarial science and broking.
Interactive sessions will include a panel discussion called “Future Leaders in Risk – Building Skills for the Next Generation,” and chance to speak with professionals about their career journeys and insights on the evolving risk landscape.
The BDA said the forum aligns with its commitment to building a strong and diverse workforce to support Bermuda’s position as a leading global risk hub.
Students, recent graduates and professionals considering a career change are encouraged to attend.
