Ariel Re announces nine staff promotions across Bermuda and London offices
Global reinsurance firm Ariel Re has promoted nine employees across its Bermuda and London offices as part of its continued commitment to career development and internal growth.
The promotions span underwriting, IT, actuarial and portfolio management, reflecting what the company calls its “academy firm” approach to nurturing talent in the [insurance and] reinsurance sector.
“These promotions demonstrate Ariel Re’s approach to nurturing talent within the business,” said Lindsay Hyland, the head of human resources. “It's vital we celebrate, support and invest in the personnel at Ariel Re and these appointments stand as a testament to that.”
Among those promoted is Ihab Khalil, who has taken on the role of chief information officer and joined the Ariel Re Bermuda leadership team. He previously served as senior vice-president, portfolio management.
Other promotions include Caroline Caton, now senior systems analyst; Catarina Correia, promoted to senior reinsurance analyst; and Connor Bradbury, who is now an underwriter in property. JayLynn Hines has been named AVP – underwriter, cyber; Mohammed Ibrahim has moved up to senior actuarial analyst; and Rahul Choudhry is now a software developer.
Tom Orton has been promoted to vice-president – property underwriter, while Veronica King has stepped into the role of senior vice-president – underwriter, property.
Ariel Re operates from offices in Bermuda, London and Hong Kong, offering a range of reinsurance solutions. The firm is a major writer of property catastrophe reinsurance through Syndicate 1910 at Lloyd’s of London and provides access to Lloyd's Europe.
