Abacus adds two new hires
Abacus Limited has expanded its team with the appointment of Angel Bucoy as financial solutions consultant and Darlene Friend as executive assistant.
The Bermudian-based accounting firm said the additions come as it continues to experience major growth and seeks to maintain high standards of service for its expanding client base.
Ms Bucoy brings experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Ateneo de Zamboanga University in the Philippines.
In her new role, she will support clients by managing accounts, processing payments and delivering comprehensive financial overviews.
Ms Friend joins as executive assistant, bringing a strong background in administrative support.
She will assist with internal operations and help streamline workflows and boost team productivity.

Ms Nesbitt described Ms Bucoy’s experience as strengthening the firm’s reputation “as a leader in financial management”, and said Ms Friend’s “wonderful spirit and expertise” would be invaluable to the team.
Abacus provides bookkeeping, payroll tax preparation, business advisory services and financial consulting.
It has won the Best of Bermuda Award for Best Accounting Services for the past nine years.
