Conyers has expanded its Bermuda corporate practice with the appointment of four Bermudian associates, in a move the firm says reaffirms its investment in local legal talent.

Evin Mosley, Lauren Thorburn, Kyra Dunstan and Ryann Hollis join from other Bermuda law firms and bring a range of corporate and regulatory expertise to the firm’s Hamilton office.

“We are delighted to welcome Evin, Lauren, Kyra and Ryann to Conyers,” said Marcello Ausenda, director and head of the Bermuda corporate practice. “Their addition strengthens our team and supports the expansion of our market-leading corporate practice.”

Mr Ausenda added: “At Conyers we are proud to boast that we invest more in Bermudian legal talent than any other firm. This ongoing commitment not only enhances our ability to provide high-quality legal solutions to our clients but also demonstrates our dedication to nurturing local expertise. As our practice continues to grow there will be even more opportunities for the next generation of first-rate Bermudian lawyers.”

Mr Mosley joins from another Bermuda firm and specialises in securitisations, cross-border finance, mergers and acquisitions and shipping, with additional experience advising clients on Bermuda’s economic substance regime.

Ms Thorburn, who previously practised in Canada, is the spouse of a Bermudian. She brings expertise in regulatory compliance, data privacy, corporate governance and anti-money laundering. Before moving to Bermuda, she trained and practised at Mosher Chedore in New Brunswick.

Ms Dunstan, also a former practitioner at a local firm, focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and insurance regulation.

Mr Hollis, the newest addition to the team, will support Conyers’ growing insurance sector work and advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

The firm said the appointments align with its long-term strategy to develop home-grown legal professionals while maintaining its leading position in Bermuda’s corporate legal market.
