Level Up event brings powerhouses together
Bermuda will host British investor, former C-suite executive and Dragons’ Den star Jenny Campbell.
Ms Campbell will deliver the keynote address at the Women Mean Business: Level Up event in June.
Women Mean Business was established to provide a platform that supports, educates, and inspires women’s professional growth.
Organiser Joanne Horton said: “Investing in female leadership in Bermuda is vital. When women lead, they drive innovation, foster diversity and contribute to the strength and resilience of the entire community.”
Ms Campbell brings with her a wealth of experience in business and financial services, having worked at RBS and NatWest banks in leadership roles spanning large-scale change programmes, project management, risk review, channel strategy, communications and training.
She is best known for her role as the chief executive who relaunched YourCash Europe Limited, leading its expansion across Belgium and Ireland, and continued growth in the British and Dutch markets between 2010 and 2016.
In 2017, she joined the panel of BBC Two’s flagship show Dragons’ Den, which attracted more than 2.5 million viewers per episode globally. During her time on the show, she invested in five businesses across industries including energy, wellness, media and spirits.
At Women Mean Business, Ms Campbell will share insights on climbing the career ladder, female leader, supporting start-ups and other topics.
The event will bring together attendees from across Bermuda’s industries, from CEOs to associates and bartenders to managers.
“Women Mean Business offers something valuable for all to learn,” Ms Horton said.
The conference will also feature a Bermuda female leadership panel, where local leaders will share their experiences.
In addition, executive leadership coach Lorene Phillips will lead a dynamic workshop focused on managing change in the workplace and creating your own success script.
“It is an honour to speak at Women Mean Business Bermuda — an inspiring platform where bold ideas meet fearless ambition,” Ms Campbell said. “As a passionate advocate for women in leadership and entrepreneurship, I believe we must live by corporate standards, but breathe like entrepreneurs. That is where real innovation and impact begin.”
