Four riders dominate in four classes
Kenneth Mathie, Ben Zoellner, Keegan Jones and Jahdae Trott all made a clean sweep of honours in their respective classes during the last round of Correia Construction Motocross Championship racing at Southside, St David’s.Mathie took the chequered flag in all three heats in the C Class to cap a flawless and memorable day of racing at the newly refurbished race track.Tariq Bell also impressed in the C Class with two seconds and a third while Tyquan Perinchief managed two thirds and a second.Zoellner posted three wins competing in the Over 30s Class which also saw Wentworth Tucker claim two second place finishes.Trott, son of Bermuda Motocross Club (BMC) president Jonathan (Stalks) Trott, reigned supreme in the 85cc Class with three wins to his credit. Jayden Ming managed two seconds and a third while Senoj Mitchell had two thirds and a second.Jones chalked up three wins in the Pee Wee Class while Jayden Simmons had three seconds to cap an impressive outing.Dominating proceedings in the B Class was Berkeley Institute’s Jonah Smith who had two wins. Shakir Smith won the third heat of the day and also had a second to finish the day level on points with Jonah. Aaron Cannonier also impressed in the B Class with two seconds.Micheal Burrows Jr was the top rider of the day in the 65cc Class with two firsts and a second while Logan Jones managed two seconds and a third. Kodi Simmons also enjoyed two podium finishes after placing third in the day’s first and third heats.Zamair Darrell led the two-rider Super Mini Class field with two firsts and a second while Zendai Ingham-Fubler had two seconds and a first.Zano Tucker also had two wins in the 50cc Class while Moses Johnson had a first and a second to finish the day two points shy of Tucker.The race featuring mothers did not go as planned.“Some mothers came and tested bikes on the test track,” said BMC president Trott. “But they quickly decided not to ride on the same course that their kids ride on.”
